First MOC post
Hi everybody! I'm new here and just wanted to show you my wip for the Bayonets at Dawn contest over at Classic Pirates. It is called The Fall of the Alamo. I'm sure alot of you have seen it since some of you are members on eurobricks.
Thanks,
Capt. Stabbin.

Welcome to Eirbricks! Your entry looks great! I really like how you made the buildings. :) Do they have a interior?
Re: First MOC post
Glad you could join us here on Eirebricks Captain, the more the merrier!
As far as your entry, it looks really good and the building in the background is very nice.
Good Luck :flower:

Re: First MOC post
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the warm welcome.
There is a small interior in the Long Barracks, just out of the camera shot. The chapel(Alamo) does not have an interior. During the siege the chapel had no roof, it had collapsed many years before the battle. The rubble and debris that was the roof was used to create a platform at the back of the building, and had a couple of cannons positioned on it. I would have made that part, but I'm starting to run out of bricks.
Thanks,
Capt. Stabbin

Re: First MOC post
The Alamo was a battle in which the Mexican army attacked Texian forces that were fortified around a church called the Alamo (I forget which year though). The Texian army consisted of several famouse people, Davy Crocket, a frontiersman, James Bowie, the creater of the Bowie knife, and Colonel Travis. The Texians held the fort for many weeks, but sadly when the Mexican army did a full frontal assault with all the thousands of it's army, the few hundred Texian defenders were all slaughterd. The phrase "REMEMBER THE ALAMO" was screamed by the Texian army at the battle in which the Mexicans were defeated, a few months later.perthpoke wrote:what is almano???!?!!!?
