Nnenn And His Legacy
A great builder named Nate Nelson/nnenn passed away, after being involved with a car accident. Im sure many of you have heard of this great builder and I was never a huge fan of his work but I did always enjoy seeing his creation on TBB. Anyway nnenn was the original designer of the "vic Viper's" which are the things in the picture above. I would like to show some of his amazing creations on behalf of him now.
This was one of the things he built. Just by looking at it, you can tell just how lovely it is, from the amazing rounded cockpit design to the vehicles roaming around on the ground. I can certainly say that in my opinion this is one of his best creations that I have been fortunate enough to see.
Nnenn usually built sci-fi but he was still impressive when he built in other themes. These medieval weapons are just an example of this and a small taste of the rest of what he built.
This creation was apparently made for his kids. This is lovely and the small microscale ships make me think of those from Avatar the film. I truly love this creation and his sons must have been so very glad to play with this and lets face it, what kid could not love to play with such a cool model.
One of Nnenn's vic vipers and a great one too. I am to believe this was one which he showed to us i his early days of building these ships. The smoothness and beutiful back wing design are just perfect.
Built in 2 weeks this ship is the icing on the cake. It's one of nnenn's two big ships which I am aware of and this one is just plain amazing. In some ways it reminds me of the tantive IV and in some ways it makes me think of some random enemy ship out of star trek but whatever it makes you think of it will be a purely awsome thing.
To close this post I will show just hom many people will miss him by showing something the lego community did for him back in November 2009. It is a poster of fan based Vic Vipers all based on the ones that the lord of Vic Vipers himself built. It is another awsome thing and it shows just how many people loved the vic vipers enough to create their own.

And it's amazing he built that in only two weeks. That would take me a month at least!perthpoke wrote:the big black one is awsome.

I worked with Nnenn on the Neo Classic Space 30th anniversary project he built this for:
As mentioned above it's an amazing model, but that's only half the story, as Nnenn built dozens of models during the month, and all of them were amazing.
Here's a link to posts about him on that site: http://www.neoclassicspace.com/category/tags/nnenn
Very sad loss.
