Sounds like you got good stuff! I agree, who doesn't like a bad guy in gold?

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Today, I was confident enough in my manhood to walk up to the checkout with this:
Pink shades are not something I own very many of. Or, for that matter, a single one of. THAT HAS NOW CHANGED. I have nothing planned right now, but you never know when you're going to need pink.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
I recently made a few BrickLink orders. My sixth on so far!
@The_Empire: All you'r favorites are my favorites too! Except or the Wrestler, he's not a favorite of mine.

I wish I had the bravery that you had to purchase that in public. All of those eyes looking at you, wondering why this male, is purchasing a brick bucket that is advertised to be a girls brick bucket.Dunjohn wrote:Today, I was confident enough in my manhood to walk up to the checkout with this:

You'r taste is like mine. My favorites are Hunter, Cowboy, Forestman, and Caveman. My favorites of series two? I don't know yet, I'll have to see them when I get them.The_Empire wrote: Thank you for complementing on my taste of figs.
@ Dutch: Where did you get those axe heads? They look amazing!

I wrote it on the first page.The_Empire wrote:Yep, they're on the gun of a criminal. I got my figs. I didn't get all the ones I wanted, though. But I sure got lucky! Instead of 1 Tribal Hunter, I got 2 Zombies! Even though I origonally didn't want a Zombie, I'm happy I got those, they're $5 each! And I paid for 5 of the figs, and got six! Now, what to do with them, Apocalypse? The possibilites are endless... And I'm probably going to get a Tribal Hunter as a refund (because my original order was for Wrestler, Cowboy, Tribal Hunter, the one I didn't get, Forestman and space man , but oh, well. When I get my refunded hunter, I'll get 2 free zombies!)! Oh happy days, oh happy days.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Yeah, so far nobody's asked, but I'm a bit of a closet Lego fan so I'd use the niece excuse if someone had asked. Although, given the amount of Lego I buy, it would mean I'm probably related to a population of young nieces and nephews the size of County Lietrim by now.
Today I got the Kingdoms Prison Carriage. I'm not a fan of historical themes but the boxes on this line are just so damned attractive that I couldn't put it down. Also, even if I don't dig the theme, it has parts that I may use at some point. Like golden cheese slopes.
I only know of one shop that carries them. None of the major toy stores here do. It this a fairly hard-to-get line in other places?

Re: Recent Acquisitions
I once bought a LEGO rabbit seasonal set. The cashier gave me the wierdest look. I found it impossible to think of saying "It's for my sister." Besides, that would sound ridiculous, my sister is 15. I just stood there silently thinking how embarrasing it was......The_Empire wrote:
I could do that. Jeez, it's not embarrassing, just as long as you say "It's for my sister/daughter."

Th's a good set, Dunjohn, I mess with the Knights all the time.Dunjohn wrote:Yeah, so far nobody's asked, but I'm a bit of a closet Lego fan so I'd use the niece excuse if someone had asked. Oh, Redwater! I feel sorry for you! I know someone who bought a Fairy keyring for himself, he said it was good and he liked the pink. He also told me he wasn't embarrassed.

I can't wait to see it. I'd buy that set, but it is a bit expensive.Brickfoot wrote:I got the new architect white house a few days ago and have everything ready to go for my first review.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
I ordered a yellow, blue, and green 16X16 baseplate for my Collectible Minifigures. They will fit on them with the stands and identify the Series by colour. Green is for Series Three. They do exist in orange so when Series Four comes around I can get one form them too. I also finally got some BlueCoats!
Re: Recent Acquisitions
I was on holidays all last week with limited access to both the internet and Lego, but I got two Prince of Persia Ostrich Race sets in an Argos that still had them (€12.99 each, on clearance). They're not really an investment, I got them because they're the only source of ostriches and the cheapest source of fleshie male torsos (the only other one I know of being a big Indiana Jones set) so if I need those parts at some point, I'll open them. I'll leave them boxed for now, they're easier to manage that way.
Still no sign of Series 2 yet, Smyths has them on their website but all stores are out of stock until the 1st! GHAAAH!!!
