If you don't mind me asking, did you get them off Bricklink? I just want to see how many other the members use Bricklink. It's a great site!

Wow. 61 feedback is amazing! I've made 6 orders, and only have five feedback. But, I have only been a member there since around Easter time.JCC1004 wrote:

Yeah, I've been a member since November 08. I have 20 points on Eurobricks too. I'm looking for a few more Blue Coats though. A few more shakos, a couple tri-corners, and one Admiral.General Redwater wrote:Wow. 61 feedback is amazing! I've made 6 orders, and only have five feedback. Re: Recent Acquisitions
I've never used Bricklink. Nothing wrong with it, I've been sorely tempted to at times, I just haven't got round to clicking any buttons yet. Every brick I own comes from a set.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Certainly! You just can't buy the minifigs together, you have to buy the pieces alone, and then put them together. It's much cheaper, and also saves on shipping.The_Empire wrote: Does anyone think $20 can buy all that?
@JCC- Shakos are very expensive, but tricorns are very easy to get. In my last two orders I was able to get about 20 mix of brown and black ones, for less than $10.00. They look so good on my 22nd regiment of foot.
Not all the hats are pictured there. The rest I used for a secret project.
@DunJohn-Bricklink is a perfect site. I used to only buy sets, but in this economy, I find Bricklink much cheaper. I've only had one bad order, and never have I had another bad one.

I know that they are but I was talking about the soldiers with shakos. They still are quite expensive but the tricorn soldier aren't too much less. I'd rather spend a little more to get what I really want then save a bit and get something I don't want as much.General Redwater wrote:

Re: Recent Acquisitions
I really should use that as a motto when I buy on Bricklink. It does make good sense.JCC1004 wrote:

He he... Regretting those Arkham guards, Ninja, Crash Test Dummy, and sig-fig parts?The_Empire wrote:I was going to do that with my $20, but I remembered I owed some for past LEGO.
Re: Recent Acquisitions
Nobody can go without sigfig parts! I once did a whole Bricklink order just so I could get some sigfigs that I could use in MOCs and contests, like the ToR2. I also use Redcoat sigfigs as the leaders of my army, they do come in handy!JCC1004 wrote:

There is also a project that is a secret that I have only mentioned a few times.....

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Very true. I got all of my parts for about five bucks! Pretty good for the amount of rare parts. I only have one copy but I'm looking for more.General Redwater wrote:

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Strange...strange stuff indeed. What is it? Brickforge? Brickarms?

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Did you see the Halo collectible minifigs that Megabloks are doing? There's no fig with a needler yet, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. I got one or two and the weapons are perfect for Legomen.

I posted photos of mine in a thread on eurobricks:

I also have a block when it comes to custom parts. I've a great respect for BrickArms and the other custom brick shops and I admire a lot of their creations, but when it comes to actual MOCs, I can never use anything but actual Lego parts. And whenever I spot custom parts in a MOC, it somehow lessens the awesomeness for me in a way that I can't help. It's weird, and a little contradictory, but it's just how I perceive things. I think it's because Lego is so streamlined (the minifigs don't even have elbows) that going outside the box makes me think it's cheating in a small way.

You really should buy Brickarms, they really are awsome!The_Empire wrote: SAME HERE! I think exactly as you do when it comes to LEGO MOCs.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
TLG seems to be making more and more official parts that resemble BrickForge and BrickArms parts. I prefer BrickForge over BrickArms though.
